1 If Leonardo Da Vinci and Kramer can do it…

Hi, SO I’m doing something that might seem uncanny to most people, but this week, I’ve changed my sleep schedule drastically! I’ve only been sleeping 20 minutes every 3 hours.

NOT because of a guilty conscience or too many energy drinks, but because of Seinfeld! I was watching an episode where Kramer (goofy haired guy) decided to do this same exact thing, and went on to explain to Jerry how Da Vinci did it. Then later on in the episode he was thrown in the Hudson river because his girlfriend thought he had died on top of him… (Google it, its funny) But anyways, I looked it up, and it was true! We all know the great Leonardo Da Vinci was a genius and master of his craft, which I’m pretty sure had nothing to do with his sleeping habits, but it did get me thinking. It got me thinking of a lot of times up late nights / mornings writing and producing and a lot of creative material would comes when I’m in that “half reality” state.

SO I was going to test it out for the next month. I figure 2 things would happen, either I would reach Nirvana and become one with universe. OR.. I’d have a psychotic breakdown! I hope for the first, but we’ll see. I’ll try to blog about it while I’m on this journey.

If you’re in the Durham NC area, you’ve had to have seen the wondrous and creamy filled mini bus out and about.

Meet the owners… Yoni and Vanessa! A very happily married couple who weren’t always in the ice cream biz.

Yoni, a former grad student in neuroscience, and the ex-baker Vanessa (I’m pretty sure she still bakes, just work with me) decided to stop their very lucrative careers to follow their dreams, and I for one am very thankful they did!! Yes its that good! If you’re a fan of having happy taste buds then you’re in for a treat!! Most of their seasonal ingredients are locally grown, AWESOME!

Remarks by The Real Laww in a State of the Union Address

June 14th 2012 – “Be A Laww Abiding Citizen”, The Real Laww will address his fellow DURMites to talk about what it means to be nominated for The Carolina Music Awards Male Hip Hop Artist of the Year as well as “International Laww” being nominated for Music Video of the Year!

Jay Lawrence is an active Marine who served for two and half years overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, returning in August of 2011 to his beloved Bull City. Dedicating time to his music and production, a short 9 months after his return The Real Laww became a nominee for the CMA’s…and is currently on the lineup for this year’s Hopscotch Music Festival to take place September 6-8th in Raleigh, NC. His charitable interests include giving to the wounded warrior’s project with the “Give To Those Who Gave” campaign and concert, in addition to victims of domestic violence through “Skate Away The Hate.”

Join us to hear The Real Laww as he address the Union on June 14th at The Carrack Modern Art – 111 W Parrish St, Durham, NC 27701.

Doors at 7pm. Festivities will begin at 7:30p – 9:00p, this event is FREE to the public.
